University of the 3rd Age - Live, Laugh, Learn, Connect - Discover Maryborough U3A!

Don’t be fooled by the word “University” – there are no exams, no prior learning, just fun, friendship, and lifelong learning for the retired and semi-retired!

Since 1990, Maryborough U3A has grown thanks to our amazing volunteers — the Tutors who share their passions and the Committee Members who keep everything running smoothly. Special thanks to the late Donna Suter, whose vision helped create this vibrant community.

With around 500 members, we offer a wide range of intellectually stimulating, physically energising, and socially engaging activities—there’s truly something for everyone. U3A fees are kept to a minimum. (Class fees are used to cover the cost of renting halls for U3A classes.)

You’re welcome to try any class twice before paying the class fee. If a class doesn’t feel like the right fit, you can simply swap to another—no pressure at all. Come along, meet the group, and discover what suits you best.  Most classes run for the entire year (not during school holidays) and are held in venues throughout our area.
